2024.W41: Reunion, UAAP

I drove my mother to a get-together-after-30-years thing with her former besties. The two-hour drive was worth it because I could see that she was so happy seeing her old friends. It amazed me how they had not lost their bond after so long. Some friendships really do last.
I finally got to watch a live basketball game of my alma mater. We didn’t win, but being courtside again, cheering alongside a big crowd, brought back a sense of community I’ve missed. I nearly lost my voice from all the shouting.

Currently reading As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfah Katouh. I’m not into war-related genres but I’m liking this one so far.

Deja Vu (2006). Although I’m a fan of Denzel Washington, this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The time travel stuff was intriguing, and there were a few gripping moments, but overall it felt both complicated and lacking.
